About Me
- NEOS
- Rog and Sue Lloyd sold their home in Meadow Vista, CA in July, 2005 and enjoyed life aboard their catamaran NEOS for eight years. They sailed the 48 foot catamaran throughout the Caribbean, through the Panama Canal and on the Pacific Coast from Ecuador to Mexico. Neos was sold in July of 2013 and Rog and Sue returned to life on land. They are now settled in Rocklin, CA close to family and contemplating how they will spend their future as CLODs; cruisers living on dirt.

NEOS LOG
SEPTEMBER 2024
We started the month with a trip to Walnut Creek for a memorial service for one of Roger’s cousins, Bob Lloyd. Fun to see a lot of people we haven’t seen for a long time and the service was well done. We joined the family for a post-memorial at Jack’s house in Orinda.
The following week we headed to the Blooms to celebrate Karissa’s birthday. She had themed the party as “New York/ Hollywood”. Michelle and Beth dressed as the Statue of Liberty and Ryan and Eric were tourists. Rog and I used red plastic bags and dressed as big apples. Fun for all.
Karissa had an overnight with us to allow her parents to go celebrate their anniversary. We got her all day Saturday as well. Gave us time to do some cooking, have s’mores at the fire pit, and watch a movie with popcorn. So much fun to have her around!
MId month, Terry Hawkinson came by for a visit. We headed over to KT Noodles for lunch. We heard all about her trip to Japan which allowed us to relive our trip. Fun!!
At the end of the month, we headed up to the Nordstrom’s for a card game and dinner. We didn’t win but we didn’t come out losers either.
The bathroom project made good progress. The tub and toilet went in, then the cabinets. Rog poured a concrete countertop and all is set for that to go in at the beginning of next month.
Meanwhile, Max has settled in at Univ of Montana. He is active in marching band, keeping up with schoolwork, got himself a bike and is hiking the area. He has also been accepted into a summer program in Thailand working with elephant trainers and then getting scuba certified and working with sharks.
