About Me

Rog and Sue Lloyd sold their home in Meadow Vista, CA in July, 2005 and enjoyed life aboard their catamaran NEOS for eight years. They sailed the 48 foot catamaran throughout the Caribbean, through the Panama Canal and on the Pacific Coast from Ecuador to Mexico. Neos was sold in July of 2013 and Rog and Sue returned to life on land. They are now settled in Rocklin, CA close to family and contemplating how they will spend their future as CLODs; cruisers living on dirt.

February 2022

NEOS LOG February 2022 We started the month celebrating Max’s birthday. Hard to believe he is fifteen! Blooms had everyone over for lunch and ice cream sandwiches.
The same weekend, we went to Nordstrom’s for dinner and cards and then, later in the week, we had an old friend over for lunch. Joanne was married to Elton and Rog spent many years working with him up in Colfax when we lived up there. Elton passed on a few years ago and Joanne has a new boyfriend, Roger. They both came down for a long overdue visit. Michelle got the news that she is now official. She got word that she is now a credentialed teacher. CONGRATS!! So proud of her.
Midmonth, Rog spent the weekend up past Willits with Dick Byce, an old high school friend and his brother, Marty. Marty helps maintain a camping lodge there and the guys went up to repair a water line. Rog did a lot of digging and spent the next week nursing a sore back. I spent the weekend doing some spring cleaning. The last week of February, Karissa was out of school with President’s Week. Max was on a week-long scouting trip so she spent the week with us. She decided to do some baking, It took most of the week, but I think she had fun. Flamingo cake donuts and an island cake. She made minions out of fondant and had one scuba diving and another on top of a flamingo on the water (blue jello) of the cake. She spent hours on the project and it turned out great!
Still no rain and the weather went from spring-like to 4 days of mornings below 32. I did manage to get my strawberries into the towers and did a lot of weeding.
