NEOS LOG
September 2019
We arrived home from our cruise the second week of September, then spent the rest of the week recuperating and getting back into our routine. Michelle and Ryan each came by to see us and get the rundown of the trip.
We had the pavers and sand delivered and got back into that project. The weather was pretty hot until the last week of September when Fall arrived with a few showers and temps in the 70’s. We worked around the weather and got about ½ of the deck done by the end of the month. Rog is doing a great job and it looks SUPER!! I love it.
We did take a break for a couple of rainy days and finished the blinds in the van. I am so pleased with them!
Mid month, Max had a Court of Honor and advanced to Life Rank as well as receiving some other awards and merit badges.
Rog and I headed down to Santa Barbara for a day of hard training at the main dojo. (My hard part was a thorough cleaning of the van while he worked out!) The van gave us a little hiccup on the way home but our mechanic couldn’t find anything wrong when we took it in for an oil change and checkup. Hopefully it is nothing serious.
At the end of the month, we took Karissa to IFly for her date. We started with pizza at her favorite pizza place: Il Pizzaiolo. Then on to IFly where they let her go in early. She did a super job and had a lot of fun. We chatted with the Bloom family when we brought her home.
While we were on our cruise, Hurricane Dorian decimated the Bahamas. News from Manjack was finally obtained this month and it looks like everyone survived and the Adamsons’ cabin is intact with no damage to it or the shed with their boats. There is a lot of cleanup to do, but very good news indeed.
